Zhu Jinchang

Secretary-general of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and member of the Leading Party Group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Born in July of 1946, Han Nationality, native of Penglai, Shandong Province. Started to take up a job in 1964; joined the Communist Party of China in 1966; college graduate.

Recruited into the People’s Liberation Army in 1964; transferred to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1986, serving as the director of the general office and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Bureau of General Administration, CASS; director-general of the Bureau of Finance, Construction and Planning, CASS; studied in the Party School of the CPC Central Committee in 1996; graduated from the in-service graduate class of CASS in 1997; deputy secretary-general of CASS and concurrently director-general of the Bureau of Finance, Construction and Planning, CASS in 1999; secretary-general of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and member of the Leading Party Group of CASS since 2000; concurrently director of Editorial Board of CASS Review since 2000; concurrently director of General Office, CASS in 2002-2003; and chief editor of CASS Annual Report in 2002 and director of the Research Center of Social Policy, CASS in 2003.
