China to help farmers, fishermen in developing countries

Director General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Jacques Diouf (R) and Chinese Vice Agriculture Minister Zhang Baowen sign an agreement during FAO's 28th Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific Region in Jakarta, Indonesia, May 18, 2006. The Chinese government would provide at least 3,000 experts and technicians over a six-year period to help improve the productivity of small-scale farmers and fishermen in developing countries, according to the agreement.  [Xinhua Photo]
