China established technology and product demonstration bases in the 10th Five-Year period to promote the transfer and application of agricultural IT technologies, which leads to rapid development of modern agriculture in the demonstration areas.

An IT demonstration and application framework has been established featuring a distribution system to spread modern agricultural information technology.

Within the system, the technology is distributed from the core area of the National Agricultural Sci-Tech Zones to the demonstration areas, and then to the radiation ones. The IT service center and prototypes have been built in the nuclear area; demonstration and application bases in the demonstration areas; and application networks in the radiation areas.
