To date, China has established S&T cooperative relations with 152 countries and regions,and signed intergovernmental S&T cooperative agreements with 99 of them. China's international S&T cooperation is in multiple levels, multiple varieties, multiple modes and multiple channels.

Statistics indicate that China has set up S&T divisions (teams) inside 62 embassies, consulates and permanent missions in 45 countries and dispatched 131 diplomats for science and technology. In addition, relevant departments and institutions of China are also taking an active part in international S&T cooperation.

In recent years, 60,000 person-times of overseas scientific and technological personnel have come to China and 80,000 person-times of Chinese scientific and technological personnel gone abroad to carry out international S&T cooperation every year.

In the past 5 years, China's R&D fund for international S&T cooperation has amounted to 8.44 billion yuan. In addition, China has also established a series of S&T cooperation funds with other countries.
