Li Changchun, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Sunday watched a show staged by amateur performers from grassroots levels.

Li, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, watched the show at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The show consisted of eight performances all created by teachers, students, retirees, and soldiers from grassroots levels across the country.

Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and State Councilor Liu Yandong accompanied Li while watching the show.
