Philippine president leaves on trip to Italy, Portugal and China Saturday, June 2, 2007

Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo left Saturday for Italy to attend a religious ceremony in Rome, reported the official Philippine News Agency.

After her stay in Italy, Arroyo will pay a visit to Portugal before going to China, said the report.

Arroyo will visit Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality during her tour of China from June 6 to 7, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
