Chinese leader Jia Qinglin put forward several suggestions on advancing China-Malaysia relationship to new depth and broadness as he met with Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday afternoon.
Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said bilateral relations are facing a good opportunity for further growth. He said China is ready to be a trust-worthy friend and a cooperative partner.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday with former Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mahathir Bin Mohamad.
During the meeting, Jia said the all-round, rapid growth of China-Malaysia links is inseparable from the long-term effort that Mahathir made to advance friendship between the two countries.
China endeavors to build harmonious environment with neighbors
China will endeavor on developing a harmonious and friendly environment for the common development of itself and neighbor countries, Chinese leader Jia Qinglin said in Kuala Lumpur Thursday evening.
Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said China will stick to the principle of treating neighbors as friends and partners and pursue the policy of promoting friendship, peace and prosperity with its neighbors. He said China will continue to push forward the development of regional cooperation mechanism and step up cooperation in practical terms.
Jia made the remarks in a speech at a welcoming dinner hosted by leading Malaysian organizations Thursday evening. Jia arrived in Kuala Lumpur Tuesday evening for an official goodwill visit to Malaysia.
CPPCC, Malaysian Parliament to step up exchanges
The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is ready to carry out exchanges with the Malaysian Parliament at all levels and in all forms, CPPCC Chairman Jia Qinglin said in Kuala Lumpur Thursday.
During his meeting with Malaysian House of Representatives Speaker Ramli Ngah Talib on Thursday morning, Jia said CPPCC plays an important role in China's political life, and it also works for enhancing mutual understanding between the Chinese people and people of the world and promoting world peace and development.
