Supreme court president meets with Venezuelan counterpart
Chinese Supreme Court President Xiao Yang met with his Venezuelan counterpart Omar Alfredo Mora Diaz and his party in Beijing Monday.
Mora Diaz, who is president of the Venezuelan Supreme Court, started his China tour on Sunday as guest of the Chinese Supreme Court.
Besides Beijing, he will also travel to Xi'an, the capital of northwestern China's Shaanxi province, and Shenzhen, a city in south China's Guangdong province, which borders Hong Kong.

Senior CPC official meets Venezuelan guest GOV.cn Monday, April 10, 2006 Luo Gan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, met with Omar Alfredo Mora Diaz, visiting president of Venezuelan Supreme Court, Monday in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Luo said that China and Venezuela are both developing countries and share same and similar views on many international issues, highlighting that the bilateral friendly relations have laid solid foundation for the exchanges and cooperation of the two judiciary organs.
Luo briefed the guest on the progress of China's legal system, noting that China attaches importance to learning overseas experience about the establishment of legal system, and the cooperation between the two judiciary organs will surely contribute to the bilateral relations.
Mora said that Venezuela-China relations are at "best time", vowing that Venezuela will further cement the cooperation with China especially in the judiciary field, and support each other on international issues.
