Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing on Friday exchanged views on several issues with his British counterpart Margaret Beckett over the telephone.

Li was accompanying Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on his official visit to the United Republic of Tanzania.

The two foreign ministers exchanged views on such issues as sorting out a peace solution to the Iranian nuke dispute and furthering bilateral relations between their two countries.

But the Chinese foreign minister did not disclose more detail on what he talked with the British foreign minister on Iran before the Chinese delegation left Dar es Salaam for Kampala of Uganda to continue Wen's seven-nation Africa tour.
