Highlights of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit in Mongolia, Myanmar

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao concluded his official visit to Mongolia on Wednesday and arrived in Yangon for a two-day visit to Myanmar.

Following are highlights of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's activities on Wednesday.

ULAN BATOR -- Premier Wen and Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj vowed to boost ties between the two countries.

Wen said China and Mongolia share a long borderline, which has become a bond of common interests and friendly cooperation.

The Chinese premier said China takes a strategic and long-term perspective when developing relations with Mongolia, adding Mongolia is a priority in China's diplomacy toward its neighbors.

ULAN BATOR -- China is willing to boost investment cooperation with Mongolia in mineral resources development and infrastructure construction and encourage Chinese enterprises to import more farm and animal husbandry products from its northern neighbor, Wen said Wednesday.

Speaking at the opening of the Sino-Mongolian Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum, the Chinese premier said China and Mongolia, both developing fast, have highly complementary economies and have broad prospects in economic and trade cooperation.

Wen also made four proposals on further boosting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

YANGON -- Wen arrived in Yangon on Wednesday, kicking off a two-day official visit to Myanmar, which is the last leg of his four-nation Asian tour.
